Run Thrus and Matches

Come work on your skills in a trial-like environment! We host a variety of events throughout the year in many disciplines, including run thrus, B matches, and C matches. All of these events offer a unique opportunity to train and practice in a trial like environment with additional supports (i.e. toys or treats). Fundraisers/Special Events

As a non-profit organization focused on supporting the dog community in the Cleveland Metro area, we will partner with other clubs and organizations to host a variety of events including fundraisers and educational breed events. We greatly appreciate your participation in these special events that work to help build and lift up the dog community around us.

Run Thrus and Matches

Agility B-Match

CABTC is excited to offer an Agility B-Match. A standard course for either Excellent/Master, Open, or Novice will be offered a half hour after regular trial classes are over. Come practice start line stays, contacts and have an opportunity to REWARD (petting and toys!!!). Give your young dog show experience where you can play and reward great behavior!

Sign up at the ribbon table on Saturday. No online registration is available for this event.

Obedience Run Thru

We offer an Obedience Run Thru on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. Classes available include Beg-Novice, Novice, Open, Utility.
Sign up begins in person at 6pm & ends at 7pm. Beginner Novice sign up ends at 6:30pm. We do not offer online sign ups at this time.

Rally Run Thru

WARM UP FOR OUR June 21 and 22, 2025 RALLY TRIALS and the AKC Rally National Championship on July 3-5, 2025, at Purina Farms! There will be two concurrent run-thru rings in Suite A. The schedule of classes will be determined by the number of entries received. A tentative schedule will be sent when all the ‘entries’ are in. Walk-thru at 9:20am, ‘classes’ beginning at 9:30am.

Agility Seminar

For those that don’t know Theresa, She is a multi world team member and also Coach of the CKC world team. Theresa is great at working with each team regardless of what handling style or level you are at. She fits the courses to work at your level so you are insured success and have a positive learning experience. Her feedback is invaluable, she takes frustrated/fumbling handlers to fabulous over the course session. Everything is positive, motivating and pushing teams to do more than you think you can. Teams will take all these skills to their next class or competition. 6 sessions will be offered over 3 days including Cue/Cue/Cue, Puppy Foundation Skills, Young Dog Seminar, Advanced Handling, Basic Course Work, and Handling & Sequences.

Heal Your Heeling

Heeling is integral to both Obedience and Rally. Participants will learn how to make heeling joyous and how to make it motivational and consistent.
Participants will learn how to teach it, how to reward, how to fix problems, and how to maintain it.

AKC Certificate Test/Titling Events

CGC Test

The AKC Canine Good Citizen™ (CGC) program provides the perfect framework for training your dog to become a polite member of society.
Dogs must complete 10 tests that demonstrate the practical, functional behaviors that every dog should have to be welcomed in the community.

Requirements for taking the test:
Dogs must have approximately 21 hours of training from another training facility, equivalent to CABTC’s FS I, FS II and FS III classes.
